1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the website https://standalonetech.com (“Website”) and any products or services offered by StandaloneTech (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website or services.
StandaloneTech is a software business operating from West Bengal, India. These Terms apply to this Website, to the free plugins we publish on WordPress.org, and to the paid products we sell here.
2. Products and Services
StandaloneTech develops and distributes plugins for WordPress and WooCommerce. Our products currently include:
- TeraWallet (Free) — a WooCommerce wallet plugin, available for download from WordPress.org
- TeraWallet Pro — a premium extension of TeraWallet, available for purchase on this Website
- Other plugins we publish from time to time, including Profitly, our WooCommerce profit and cost analytics plugin
- Documentation, demo sites and support resources to help you use our products
We may add, change, rename or discontinue products at any time. All our products are digital and delivered electronically — no physical goods are shipped.
3. Free Plugins
Our free plugins are distributed through the WordPress.org plugin directory under the GNU General Public License (GPL), and your use of them is governed by that license. They are provided free of charge, as is, with no warranty and no guaranteed support.
We provide best-effort support for our free plugins through the WordPress.org support forums. We do not commit to any response time for free-plugin support.
Some of our free plugins offer an optional email opt-in. Joining is entirely voluntary, refusing has no effect on how the plugin works, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what data this involves.
4. Account Registration
To purchase TeraWallet Pro or access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information
- Keeping your billing email address and payment details up to date
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and license keys
- All activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Purchases and Payments
All prices displayed on our Website are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Where we are required to collect tax on your purchase, it is shown at checkout before you pay. Any bank charges, currency conversion fees or foreign transaction fees applied by your card issuer are your responsibility.
By completing a purchase, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided, that your billing information is accurate, and that you agree to pay all charges at the prices in effect at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time; price changes never affect an order that has already been completed. For how pricing works on renewals, see Section 6.
6. Subscriptions, Automatic Renewal and Cancellation
TeraWallet Pro is sold as an annual subscription that renews automatically. Please read this section carefully before purchasing.
- Term. Your license runs for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel before your renewal date, your subscription renews automatically for a further 12-month term and the payment method saved on your account is charged the renewal price then in effect for your plan.
- Advance notice. We send a reminder email to the address on your account before each renewal charge is taken. Keeping that email address and your payment details current is your responsibility.
- How to cancel. You can turn off automatic renewal at any time from the Subscriptions area of your account on this Website, or by emailing support@standalonetech.com. No reason is required and there is no cancellation fee.
- What cancelling does. Cancellation stops future charges. It takes effect at the end of the term you have already paid for — you keep Pro updates and support until that date.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it over a short period. If it continues to fail, the subscription may be suspended or cancelled, and Pro updates and support will stop.
- Unwanted renewals. If you are charged for a renewal you did not want, our Refund Policy lets you request a full refund within 30 days of the renewal charge.
Cancelling a subscription does not deactivate or delete the plugin from your site. What happens to a lapsed license is described in Section 7.
7. Pro License and Usage
Upon purchase of TeraWallet Pro, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Install and use the plugin on up to the number of sites included in the plan you purchased (we currently offer 1-site, 5-site and 25-site plans)
- Receive plugin updates and customer support for as long as your license remains active
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the plugin
- Share your license key with anyone outside your organization
- Modify the plugin for redistribution
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the plugin in a manner that violates any applicable law
If your license expires or is cancelled
The Pro plugin will keep working on the sites where it is already installed. However, it will stop receiving updates, new features, compatibility fixes, security fixes and customer support until you renew, and we may prevent the license key from being activated on additional sites. We strongly recommend keeping a license active: WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP change frequently, and an un-updated plugin can break or become insecure over time.
8. Support
Support for paid products is provided by email at support@standalonetech.com to customers with an active license. We aim to reply within two business days, but response times are not guaranteed. Support is provided in English.
Support covers installation, configuration and bug reports relating to our own plugins. It does not include:
- Custom development, custom code or design work
- General WordPress, WooCommerce or hosting training
- Server administration, migrations or performance tuning
- Fixing conflicts caused by third-party themes or plugins, or by modified versions of our plugins
We may ask for temporary access to a staging site in order to reproduce an issue. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.
9. Refunds
We offer a 30-day no-questions-asked refund on TeraWallet Pro purchases, including renewal charges. Full details, including how to request a refund and the limited exceptions that apply, are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images and software — is the property of StandaloneTech or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of it without our express written consent. The StandaloneTech, TeraWallet and Profitly names and logos are our trademarks.
Nothing in this section limits any rights granted to you under the GNU General Public License in respect of our free plugins.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our products and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The plugin will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The plugin will be compatible with all WordPress themes, plugins, or server configurations
- Results obtained from using our products will meet your expectations
Our plugins handle store credit, customer balances and financial figures. You remain responsible for your own store’s data, accounting and backups. We strongly recommend taking a full backup and testing in a staging environment before installing or updating any plugin on a live site. You use our products at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StandaloneTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption — arising from your use of our Website or products.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the product in question during the 12 months before the claim arose. Because our free plugins are supplied at no charge, our liability in respect of them is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use our Website or products for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to other user accounts
- Interfere with the proper functioning of our Website
- Upload or transmit malicious code or harmful content
- Circumvent, disable or tamper with our license validation
14. Privacy and Data
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. Our Cookie Policy explains the tracking technologies used on this Website. By using our Website and products, you agree to the practices described in those documents.
Our plugins do not transmit your store data, customer data or order data to us. The only information a plugin sends to us is what is needed for license activation, and — if you choose to opt in — your email address and site URL for our mailing list.
15. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our Website and services for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, is unlawful, or is harmful to other users or to our business. Where the circumstances allow it, we will give you notice and an opportunity to put things right first. If we terminate an active paid subscription for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused portion of your current term.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. If we make a material change that affects customers with an active subscription, we will notify them by email before it takes effect. Continued use of our Website or products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. The courts of West Bengal, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, our Website or our products.
Before beginning formal proceedings, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith by email. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of the country in which you live.
